Our Story

Meet Melissa

Welcome to Proof & Pixel! I'm Melissa, the owner, and I've been passionate about tutoring mathematics since I was 18 years old. During college, I worked as a math tutor and class assistant, earning the Peer Tutor of the Year award in my senior year.

A Strong Foundation in Mathematics & Education

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Design and a Master's in Mathematics. I spent six years teaching high school math, covering subjects from Algebra through Calculus II and am currently an Adjunct Mathematics Professor at Southern New Hampshire University

Tutoring Designed Around the Student

Now, as a private tutor, educator, and designer, I offer personalized tutoring and teaching services tailored to each student's unique needs. I've worked with students of all learning abilities and create materials that are relevant to what they're learning in the classroom.

The Proof & Pixel Experience

All sessions are conducted virtually, making tutoring easy and convenient from the comfort of your home. Using technology, applications, and my iPad, I create an engaging experience that feels much like in-person tutoring.
